「ユリ」発足の想い

知らないことが多い世の中。
先人達が残してくれた文化、例えば日本の場合竹の皮におむすびを包むのは
抗菌・防腐作用がある、筍を食べ竹の皮も使う、最後まで使う、自然との融合・知恵。
世界にはそんな物がたくさんあります、珈琲もそのひとつ。
珈琲豆を焙煎時に出る灰や渋皮は農園で肥料に、ドリップ後の珈琲のでがらしは
乾燥させて消臭用に、全て捨てずとことん最後まで使う事ができる事はご存知でしょうか。
そしてその豆を輸入する際使用されている麻袋、この袋に入ってくるのが
あたりまえと思っていましたがこれも品薄になっている様です。
古くはブラジル移民の日本人の方達が、麻を育てるため、川に入り、
命がけで作ってきた麻袋、そのような歴史・文化でできた麻袋、
マジックで書かれた数字・文字を見ると珈琲豆がはるばる遠くからやってきた背景を感じます。
そんな麻袋を珈琲豆とおなじく捨てずに使おう！私達で活かそう！と決めました。
香りで癒され、飲んでリラックスし、そんな豊な飲みもの「珈琲」を通し、作る人、買う人、が
世の中の様々なものに纏わる歴史、背景を想って使っていただける事をねがって。
「便利がハッピーとは限らない」「捨てられるものを蘇らせよう」をコンセプトに
「ユリ」はスタートしました。


「ユリ」について

だんだん希少になっている豆袋を、捨てずに、無駄なく再生することを第一に考えて発足したプロジェクトです。
皆さまに長く愛用していただくため、よりよい製品にするため、何度も試作を重ね改良、備品も変更、手作りで仕上げ、
発送用箱も作り私達のメッセージをいれる、などそれぞれの製品が皆さまのお手元に届く前におおくの経緯を経ています。
この想いが皆さまに伝わることを願って、共感していただけることを願ってお届けいたします。


Reasons why we started “YURI”　

There are many things we do not know in the modern world.
For example, the culture that ancient people had. In Japan, rice balls used to be wrapped with bamboo sheaths that have antibacterial activity. Our ancestors used whole the bamboo effectively, by eating the bamboo shoot and using the bamboo sheaths in their life. They had wisdom for living in harmony with nature.

There are many things we do not know in the modern world.
Coffee is one of them, too. Ash and the inner skin that appears while roasting the coffee beans are used for fertilizing land. Used coffee beans are usable for deodorization if they are dried instead of throwing away. Did you know that whole coffee beans can be used like this?

The hemp jute coffee bags. They are used for transportation of coffee beans. They were very common, but the materials seems to be running short these days.

In the old days, Japanese immigrants went into the river to produce hemp, and created hemp jute bags with great difficulty in Brazil. The letters and numbers written on the hemp jute coffee bags remind us of the history and culture that the bags hold.

“These hemp bags should be used effectively, just like coffee beans!”, “Let’s make good use of the bags in our daily life!” We thought like this.

Coffee gives us relaxation with its aroma. Coffee gives us good time with its great taste. Through the coffee, producers and consumers meet each other and share the history and background of the rich coffee beans. We hope the same thing happens through the hemp jute coffee bags.

“Convenience is not always related to happiness.” “Reuse, instead of throwing away!” With these concepts, we started "YURI".
